Nissan State Age Championships

 

 

Saturday 4th to Tuesday 7th July 2020 (incl).

Host - Sunshine Coast Netball Association

Associations may enter 2 teams into 12s, 13s, 14s, and 15 yr age groups

Purpose

The Nissan State Age Championship is Netball Queensland’s junior association carnival for players aged 12 to 15.  The aim of this event is to provide an inclusive environment for young players to come together and compete against players from across Queensland.

The regulations pertaining to this event have been designed around the following guiding principles

  • Ensuring all players are provided with an opportunity to participate
  • Creating a positive netball experience for all involved
  • Optimise playing and recovery time to manage the physical and mental well being of the participants

The success of the State Age Championships will be based on the following criterion

  • Number of Associations participating
  • Participant experience satisfaction rating
  • Number of attendees at the event
  • Attendee experience satisfaction rating

Netball Queensland is again offering the opportunity for boys to play at the State Age Championships.  Any boys born 2007 to 2004 are eligible to participate in a boys only division.

 


 

State Competitions

 

Qld Premier League

Representative competition for Associations throughout Queensland. 

Divisions: 17yrs, 19yrs, Open Women, Open Men, Mixed

WDNA will participate in Zone 6 for the South East Qld Cup

 

Games for Zone 6 will be played at the new Qld State Netball Centre, Cnr Kessels Rd and Mains Rd, Nathan on Thursday or Friday evenings on a rotating timeslot (6:30pm, 7:50pm, 9:10pm). The competition runs from May to September (no break for school holidays).

QPL finals will be played in October against winners from other zones in the State.
