The Foundation Umpire course has been designed to assist you in achieving the necessary skills and knowledge to be an effective umpire and enjoy your officiating role.
The Course is a pre-requisite for obtaining an Association Award and a National C Badge.
The course contains the following modules:

- Umpiring techniques
- Rules in action

From 2019 this exam will cost $10.48
The Rules of Netball Theory Exam tests the basic rules of the game.
A certificate is generated for all candidates who achieve a pass of 70% or above.
A pass (70%) is a prerequisite for:
- C Grade Badge, the introductory level umpire accreditation.
- State Bench Official Accreditation
- Development Coach Accreditation
WDNA Rep Players are required to sit this exam as well.
